Loss of consciousness.

Loss of bowel or bladder control.

Falling suddenly for no apparent reason, especially when associated with loss of consciousness.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) - a procedure that records the brain's continuous, electrical activity by means of electrodes attached to the scalp.


Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - 

a diagnostic procedure that uses a combination of large magnets, radio frequencies, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body.


Lumbar puncture (spinal tap) -

 a special needle is placed into the lower back, into the spinal canal. This is the area around the spinal cord. The pressure in the spinal canal and brain can then be measured. A small amount of cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) can be removed and sent for testing to determine if there is an infection or other problems. CSF is the fluid that bathes your child's brain and spinal cord.


Treatment :-

The goal of seizure management is to control, stop, or decrease the frequency of the seizures without interfering with the child's normal growth and development. The major goals of seizure management include the following:


Proper identification of the type of seizure

Using medication specific to the type of seizure

Using the least amount of medication to achieve adequate control

Maintaining good medicating levels

Treatment may include:


Medications: There are many types of medications used to treat seizures and epilepsy. Medications are selected based on the type of seizure, age of the child, side effects, the cost of the medication, and the adherence with the use of the medication.

Medications used at home are usually taken by mouth (as capsules, tablets, sprinkles, or syrup), but some can be given rectally (into the child's rectum). If the child is in the hospital with seizures, medication by injection or intravenous (IV) may be used.


It is important to give your child his/her medication on time and as prescribed by your child's physician. Different people use up the medication in their body differently, so adjustments (schedule and dosage) may need to be made for good control of seizures.

While your child is taking medications, different tests may be done to monitor the effectiveness of the medication. These tests may include the following:


Blood work - frequent blood draws testing is usually required to check the level of the medication in the body. Based on this level, the physician may increase or decrease the dose of the medication to achieve the desired level. This level is called the "therapeutic level" and is where the medication works most efficiently. Blood work may also be done to monitor the affects of medications on body organs.

Urine tests - these tests are performed to see how the child's body is responding to the medication.

Wellness and Health...

     What is wellness?? 

     :-  Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you're thriving. To understand the significance of wellness, it's important to understand how it's linked to health.


     Wellness dimensions :-







      
   :-  Wellness is a holistic approach to health that includes many dimensions, including physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Here are some of the dimensions of wellness:
 

 
   (1). Emotional wellness
This involves being aware of your emotions and being able to express and release them appropriately. It also includes being honest with yourself and others. 





 
  (2). Spiritual wellness
This involves having a sense of purpose and meaning in life. It can also involve establishing peace, harmony, and balance in your life. 




  (3). Environmental wellness
This involves feeling safe and comfortable in your physical surroundings, and having a connection with them. It also includes preserving and protecting the environment. 
 





  (4). Intellectual wellness
This involves brain health and growth through thought-provoking mental activities. 
 





  (5). Physical wellness
This involves exercising, eating well, practicing safe sex, and avoiding dangerous activities. 
 






(6). Social wellness
This involves having relationships and connections with others. 
 




Wellness is multidimensional and interactive, meaning that the dimensions influence each other. It's also subjective, based on perceptions. Neglecting any one dimension can negatively impact your overall health, well-being, and quality of life. 
 
   
       How to maintain your health status??


      Here are some ways to maintain your health:


   (1). Exercise
Regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight, build stronger bones, and improve your brain power. 
 





  (2). Get enough sleep
Sleep helps you regulate your weight, manage stress, improve your mood, and sharpen your memory. 
 




   (3). Stay hydrated
Drinking enough water helps regulate your body temperature, lubricate your joints, prevent infections, and deliver nutrients to your cells.

Stopping smoking can reduce your risk of tobacco-related diseases, slow the progression of existing diseases, and improve your life expectancy.

Stress can negatively impact your health, so it's important to manage it. You can try relaxation techniques like meditation, deep breathing, or yoga.

Limit processed foods and sugar, and eat nourishing foods.
